The ProblemStray dogs and cats wander the streets of Romania, searching for food and shelter. Cars hit many of them. They all risk poisoning, illness and starvation. Those animals placed in shelters are fed scraps, if they are lucky. |

Our SolutionRomania Animal Rescue, Inc. (RAR) has established the first free spay/neuter program for the impoverished people of Romania. RAR's Trap/Neuter/Release program enables animal caregivers to bring in their cats and dogs to be treated for parasites, vaccinated, and neutered at no cost. RAR returns them to the caregiver and to their previous location. They no longer contribute to overpopulation. |

VeterinariansMeet the veterinarians who help spay/neuter the homeless dogs in Romania. Not only do they help reduce the overpopulation of strays roaming the streets of villages in Romania, but they also educate other veterinarians in modern spay/neuter techniques. |
